Outside Events

We publicise the Branch and the Society as much as possible by way of exhibiting at a few local events. The biggest event is without doubt the Portsmouth and Southsea Show. For many years we have been seen at this prestigious event, indeed, many members of the public expect to see us there each year. This three day event allows us to put on an excellent display for the public to admire and of course, we sell many plants. This is our major fundraising exercise and goes a long way to help fund our meeting nights.
Southsea 1997 Other local events that we are usually seen at include the Fur and Feather Show in Portsmouth and the Stubbington Show. These are small local events but we have become part of them and have made many friends through being there.

Once again we won the Goldmedal for our stall at the Southsea Show.
